Hey you guys! Long time no see :D, but here I am with an all new blog post regarding my beautiful trip to hampi. Hampi was a prosperous, wealthy and a grand city near the tungabhadra River, with numerous temples, farms and trading markets. It was regarded as one of the richest places and was supposed to be the capital of karnataka but was defeated by a coalition of Muslim sultanates; its capital was conquered, pillaged and destroyed by sultanate armies in 1565, after which Hampi remained in ruins.

DAY 1 :-

My trip to hampi was only for a brief period of three days. The first day we checked into our Hotel which is called "EVOLVE BACK", beautifully drawing a parallel to, evolving back to the history of hampi. The hotel was luxurious with great rooms and wonderful service. We had a private jacuzzi for ourselves in the room and a beautiful pool for our exterior view which I couldn't enjoy due to lack of time. Anyway, My first day was pretty boring because being a Rationalist and an atheist, I didn't have much to do in temples and going around seeing deities, but apart from that we had a wonderful time in the room and enjoyed a beautiful view and a lavish lunch and dinner.

The Entrance of the Hotel

We went around the place and saw the Virupaksha temple which is one of the most known and sacred monuments of hampi, including some other temples and places.

This is an overall view of "Evolve Back"

DAY 2 :-

The second day followed the same rituals of visiting various temples and ruins as well as understanding the magnificent history of hampi and the very celebrated king Krishnadevaraya. We visited the Prominent Vijaya vittala temple and witnessed the magic of the musical pillars which were made monolithically. Overall, It was a sight to see and urges you to reminisce the riches of the Vijayanagara Empire.

DAY 3 :-

Day 3 was extremely interesting and was one of the days I had the most amount of fun. On the third day we happened to visit the Hippie Island of hampi which is also popularly known as the "Mini Goa" and literally lived up to the expectations of it's name. It had everything from street shopping, shady restaurants and massage parlours to unofficially selling alcohol in coffee mugs and lots and lots of weed and other drugs.

You can hire a scooty/bike/bicycle and go around the entire place which is absolutely stunning. We ended up going on a small ride in a jute boat, in a nearby lake which ended up being really relaxing and peaceful.

OOTD, DAY 3

From drinking water straight from a waterfall, riding a motocycle in the infamous hippie island to feeding the CUTEST Vervet monkeys and taking a million pictures, I have covered everything on day 3 that I possibly could.

DAY 4 :-

These were our last few hours in hampi and it was the most unexpected and unplanned day of our entire trip that will certainly be remembered forever. It was around 7:30 am that our hike got cancelled due to severe rain and our plan was changed towards riding battery cycles. This was my first time riding these cycles and I absolutely fell in love with them. On our very picturesque ride around the kannada college of hampi we stopped by near one of the forest reserves very close to our hotel to see some birds but our guide informed us that there is a mini safari ride that could take us inside the reserve and see some deers. After a few minutes of contemplation, we decided to take the ride and This was the best decision we made in our entire trip.

We ended witnessing around a 100 deers just sitting and relaxing. One amongst them was extremely mischievous which was a black buck with the most magnificent horns. It came straight to stab one of our members which scared the shit out of me and I ran in complete fear and helplessness, straight into our bus :D. We had the opportunity to feed this absolutely stunning animal and its a memory that I will cherish all my life.

Overall, It was a wonderful trip and I had a brilliant time :D

These are a couple of other pictures of our trip. Watch and Enjoy!!
